Bayla has been a midwife for over 18 years. She first practiced in a hospital setting and has been running her own homebirth practice for the last ten years. She lives in Baltimore with her husband and three children. She is an avid entrepreneur. She keeps busy with her bookkeeping side business. 

Beverly has been helping birthing individuals start their families since 1992. She spent 23 years as a labor and delivery nurse before earning her MSN in 2015. She practiced for nine years as a Nurse- Midwife in multiple settings including an OBGYN office, a hospital and a birthing center. She then made a pivot in her career and began working on a postpartum unit close to home in 2024. She has been focused on and dedicated to the safe care of birthing individuals for more than half her life. She has been a native of Delaware since the age of 3. She grew up in a military family and followed after her father by joining the Air Force directly out of high school. She credits her dedication and focus to the conditioning she received during her time in the military. She and her husband of 39+ years have successfully raised three children of their own. She enjoys cooking and reading in her free time. 

Carrie loves world travel, books, live music, dancing, animals and nature. Her bucket list is overflowing and includes swimming with sperm whales in Dominica, hiking the West Highland Way, living at an artist’s retreat center to finish writing her book, and finding a 17th century coin with her metal detector. She and her husband live in a home they built by themselves with two dogs and two cats in the woods. In her spare time, she has worked as a midwife for nearly 25 years in various settings throughout Delaware, including at Planned Parenthood and at the Perdue chicken factory women’s clinic. She has precepted over 35 midwifery students, most of whom have become her friends and colleagues. 

Hadja Diallo currently practices in Philadelphia, where she focuses on building real, trusting relationships and ensuring her clients and families feel empowered. Hadja has partnered with many groups in Philadelphia to help close care gaps and support families in meaningful, culturally grounded ways. Above all, she believes midwives are a powerful public health force—and essential to ending maternal mortality. Hadja lives in Delaware with her husband and their three children. She enjoys learning about different cultures and traditions, spending time with friends and family, traveling, and sharing good food with people she loves. She especially enjoys listening to the soothing sounds of the kora, a traditional West African instrument that reminds her of home. One of Hadja’s biggest hopes is to return to her native country, Guinea, one day to work in maternal–child health and help train the next generation of midwives.

Jenna has been a midwife since 2023. She lives on the Eastern Shore of Maryland with her chickens, basset hounds, daughter, husband and family. Jenna was called to midwifery because it allows her to center the individual, fight for reproductive justice and thread education throughout care. She is also called to midwifery as a way to connect with her Dominican heritage and the role of the partera in the community. In her spare time, Jenna loves reading books ranging from romantic comedies to nonfictional historical accounts, everything in the world of crafts and belly laughing to 90s sitcoms.  

Kathy decided very early on that she wanted to be a nurse. Later, in nursing school soon after she started her rotation in OB, she knew she had found her niche. After working in L&D for several years she decided to pursue a MSN as Certified Nurse Midwife, a decision that she has never regretted over the many decades she worked. She was instrumental in defining what the modern midwife was able to do in Baltimore, MD and she has mentored many midwives over the course of her career. She passionately led an exclusively midwife run practice that specialized in waterbirth and VBAC care in a hospital setting for decades in Baltimore.  

Kathy's second passion has been horses and riding followed closely by gardening, reading and keeping with her family and friends. 

Laurel has been a practicing midwife for over 15 years. She is happy to call Northern Delaware her home. She is passionate about midwifery mentorship, reproductive justice and mental health. She is an avid crocheter and crafter, loves gardening and is very actively raising two children, two cats and one cute puppy. 

Lindsay has been a midwife since 2012. She currently practices in both the inpatient and outpatient settings. Professional interests include reproductive justice, mental health throughout a women's lifespan, mentoring new midwives, and helping moms transition to motherhood in the labor room and beyond. She lives with her husband, three kids and spunky pup in Delaware. Interests include cooking and eating delicious food, all things outdoors (especially skiing & hiking), travel, and quality time with family and good friends.
